It’s Sunday.
Once upon a time, it was a day of rest.
I want to urge you to go make a pot of coffee or tea, and settle in to watch the following video.
All 99 minutes of it.
Please don’t make the excuse that it’s too long. Or that you have other things you “must” do today.
Watching this video is more important.
More important than anything you think you “have” to do today.
It is one of the best, most informative and valuable doco’s your humble blogger has seen.
It traces the history of “Perception Management”. “Public relations”.
Propaganda.
It will open your eyes, like never before.
Thanks to Twitter follower @makiwa for bringing it to our attention.
If you can’t overcome the temptation to avoid this topic .. perhaps because it sounds too uncomfortable, too confronting? … then I urge you to rent out the DVD titled “Wag The Dog”.
It stars Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Kirsten Dunst, William H. Macy, Woody Harrelson, Willie Nelson, and many more.
It is both hugely entertaining. And, darkly enlightening –
Please watch one or the other. Today.
On this once-traditional day of rest.
“And you shall know the truth … and the truth shall set you free”.
Your mind, that is.
“I have certain rules I live by. My first rule: I don’t believe anything the government tells me … NOTHING! … ZERO!!”
– George Carlin
Couldn’t watch the whole thing ’cause it chews up to much download time but a good find. And not the least bit surprising. Wonder which PR firm has been hired to perception manage the carbon ‘tax’?
I’ve wondered exactly the same thing. Would be very interesting to find out.
