There is only one (1) thing preventing an end to world poverty.
You.
Your ignorance. And your cowardice.
These are the facts.
According to UN special advisor Jeffrey Sachs, author of bestseller The End Of Poverty, described by Time magazine as “the world’s best known economist”, it would take $175 billion per year to end “extreme” poverty in the world.
According to the US Federal Reserve Bank, between 2007 and 2010 they created $1.7 Trillion per week out of thin air to prop up so-called “Too Big To Fail” banks around the world.
$1.7 Trillion per week is five hundred and twenty (520) times more than the amount of money needed to end world poverty.
Conclusion.
If, according to bankers and politicians, it was “urgent” and “necessary” for one central bank to create $Trillions per week ex nihilo just to bail out greedy, arrogant, reckless, parasitic bankers – The World’s Most Immoral Institution – then it is infinitely more urgent and necessary for you and I to demand that all central banks create ex nihilo the mere $billions needed per year to bail out every single human being living in poverty.
It is that simple.
Now, you know the facts.
You are no longer ignorant.
You are just a coward.
cow·ard [kou-erd]
noun
1. a person who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc.; a timid or easily intimidated person.
Someone’s responsible, and it ain’t the vulture.
Unless of course you’re talking about the human kind. It’s been a long time since a child died of starvation which was unavoidable. Of course, in the case of the photo, the person/s responsible would likely be warlords diverting aid to line their own pockets, but the west has its fair share of vultures. It also begs the question, is that child a fair sacrifice to bring this issue to the world, or should the photographer feed the child and shoo away the vulture?
As for doing something about it, perhaps those responsible should be entrapped on camera and shown to the world via youtube? The only way to win the fight is by the very method with which they seek to control us;- the internet. Our window of opportunity is closing, and clearly blogs aren’t enough. You’re doing a great job, TBI, but it’s time to play the game by their rules and go mainstream by the tried and true method of sensationalism. If you need any help, i’m available. It’s time for a movement.
It’s Lord of War.
The real Lord’s of War are not two bit Africans however. The quote below is from the Chairman of the Federal Reserve in 2003.
“Under the current circumstances, greater cooperation for a time between the monetary and the fiscal authorities is in no way inconsistent with the independence of central banks, any more than cooperation between two independent nations in pursuit of a common objective or, for that matter, cooperation between central banks and fiscal authorities to facilitate war finance, is inconsistent with the principle of national sovereignty.”
Wow .. got a link for that JMD?
I got it from – http://dailycapitalist.com/2012/04/09/liquidity-traps-unemployment-and-the-future-of-u-s-equity-markets/
A link to the original speech is in the article, worth reading if your brain doesn’t explode a couple of paragraphs in. It seems the quote I gave was edited but no matter, there can be no doubt who is the Lord of War.
And I’m disappointed, I was expecting a retort from one of my all time favourite movies – Lord of War – do yourself a favour & see it.
Sounds like something Greenspan would say..
He also is down on record as saying that “no other agency of the (US) govt. can overrule a decision of the Federal Reserve”…
i.e. We make the rules..
I’ll second what Twodogs said, BI. Your contribution to the exposure of what is happening right under our noses,(hidden in plain view) is truly extraordinary, BI.
This rabbit hole is perhaps deeper than most would concede, and I’m not just talking about how to save our super, and maintain 2 cars in the garage and have a T.V. in every bedroom and get to watch the footy without interrupting ads….
Anyone paying ANY attention whatsoever would have to concede, that we are facing unprecedented times. Carbon Taxes, imploding European economies, sabre-rattling between the Israelis/US and Iran, draconian “anti-terrorist” laws rapidly being implemented in many countries, UN “humanitarian Kinetic Actions”, UN Agenda 21 secret policies being rolled out, banksters resigning in droves, a brand new US Marine base on our northern boundary, Arab springs, UK riots, unprecedented debt leves being cranked up by the current “pretend” Labor govt…. need I go on???
What to do? I’m all ears, but in the meantime, how about just trying to shake a few sheeple out of their lethagy. If everyone woke up about 10 sheeple, that’s a start.(10 X10 X10 X10….)
It’s a lonely life being “a nutcase conspiracy theorist”. But to keep a good conscience and not be deemed a traitor and a coward you are compelled to blow your trumpet if you see the enemy trying to sneak in. Not to broadcast a warning even if you know they won’t listen would have the blood of those taken captive or killed on your head.

I love confronting statements such as these.
Thanks for having the balls to make such a generalist blanket accusation directed at the very readers who follow your blog, and to the masses who have no idea of it’s existence.
I find that usually the most confronting, and insulting of statements like this are usually the ones that make people have a good think about what it is you are saying.
Having said that, I have more pressing issues to worry about than Africa and the millions of poor people fighting a daily struggle against corporate greed and tribal infighting. Call me uncaring but after all is said and done, who should we be worrying about more, Kids starving and dying in Africa/South America/Europe/Asia or kids starving and dying here in our own backyard?
“..who should we be worrying about more, Kids starving and dying in Africa/South America/Europe/Asia or kids starving and dying here in our own backyard?”
It is not a matter of either/or. The fundamental point of the article is that there is no logical nor reasonable excuse for the existence of poverty anywhere, from a “money” perspective.
The biggest reason to the poverty of the world rests with the intrest based economy of the world. Todays developed nations have been sucking like a parasite on the developing nations and their biggest weapon being the loans they supply to them, They create un rests in these countries and when they are not able to pay back the loans they get hold of their resources and start sucking. For the development of these nations they pump in more money and make the states more currupt. In this way the cycle of intrest burdening continues, therefore subjecting the nations to enslavement for ever.
