I find myself rather liking Beppe Grillo, the comedian (and astute economic mind) who is making serious waves in Europe, thanks to his fledgling anti-establishment “Five Star Movement” having recently outshone all the established political parties in the recent Italian elections, winning almost 26% of the popular vote.

Grillo is the canary in the mine and our system of wealth has been in danger for some time and just like paper profits ‘money’ is a moving target which can evaporate as quickly as it has appeared.
If politicians and company CEOs were ACCOUNTABLE for destroying wealth then they would not act so recklessly with our money. But because they are not they don’t care and simply move on when they have caused their calamities. But then you have to blame the apathetic public for not caring enough to get off their backsides and become involved in forcing recalcitrant politicians and captains of industry to behave more accountability. We all get what we deserve in the end whether we like it (at the time) or not so settle in and enjoy the ride of life.
This may be one aspect of corporate government of which Beppe Grillo would be interested.
