While on army training they were subjected to tear gas in an enclosed room. However, when they showered they also got affected and when they washed their clothes. Some residue was still adhering to them. Mind you tear gas if strong enough can kill too. I think the results of the UN will be more accurate and after the debacle in Iraq when the Americans ignored the UN must still be on country’s minds. No weapons of mass destruction were found. Although Mossad did say they were sent to Syria at the time.
