While having a melancholy morning, I happened to catch a passing glimpse of a music video featuring the actress, Liv Tyler.

Confession: I have long thought her to be, perhaps, the most beautiful woman alive. And recalling to mind the movie Onegin, based on the classic Russian poem by Alexander Pushkin – wherein lies the beginning of your humble blogger’s quiet appreciation of the lovely Ms Tyler – I went surfing on YouTube for clips from this, an old favourite movie.

There, I happened upon a wonderfully serendipitous discovery – the beautiful music of youthful composer, Lucrezia Morticelli

I am amazed – and saddened – that she is not yet a major recording star.

Even more amazed – and saddened – that her Youtube videos have so few views!

I am reminded of the work of French musician, Yann Tiersen –

He is perhaps best known for his soundtrack to the movie Goodbye Lenin, and another all-time favourite of mine, AmΓ©lie

Here’s more of Ms Morticelli –

I really do need to move to Italy.

Or perhaps, Russia.

With Liv Tyler πŸ˜‰

And a collected works of Lucrezia Morticelli.
